What I'm Using For a Lord of Change and Painted Eldrad Winner

Hello fellow scratch builders and hobby enthusiasts!  Welcome back to the site.  This week I'll be going over the newest scratch build I created, a UFO piloted by one of my brains to act as a Lord of Change, followed by announcing the winner of the contest for a fully painted Eldrad Ulthran model!

So first up, the UFO-

It was incredibly simple to put together.  By using plasticard (For Sale signs, in this case), a plastic vending machine piece for the top bubble, nails for legs, and a pen casing taken apart to make the gun, this was perhaps the easiest scratch build I've made in a long time!

Right now I'm working on converting 2 Soul Grinders to fit with the theme, removing the fleshy daemon bits to be replaced with machinery, eventually piloted again by brains in bubbles!

Ah, yes, the contest winner!  I went to Random.org and entered the number of applicants.  After clicking the true number generator button, it spat out the number.... 19!  This makes "joe m." the winner of this Eldrad model!

Congratulations, "joe m."!  Email me at brian.j.paasch@gmail.com so I know where to send the model.  Thank you to everyone to joined and I look forward to doing this again soon!

    1. Thanks Eric! I'm working hard on modifying the Soul Grinders. The legs are great, but the upper body bit doesn't fit my theme. It's not easy building up the rest of it so it is as high as the Soul Grinder model normally is!

    2. Ever read/watch Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles? They have villains named the Krang (sp). They are essentially sentient "brains" that utilize robots. They are usually in the mid-section of a humanoid controlling it. Looks a little like your brain horrors.

    3. I sure have! I grew up watching the cartoon. the Soul Grinder will definitely have a bit of the Krang feel to it, though hopefully it's more 'robot spider of doom housing a brain' than 'weird alien brain with spindly arms and eyeballs and a mouth controlling a humanoid robot'. :)
