Custom Eldar Jetbike Painting progress 1

Nice short post tonight on SB40k.  This is a sort of preview of how the Jetbikes will look when completed.  Still have to paint the gems, the computer panel, and glue the Guardians in place.

I may decide to do something fancy yet, still not sure.

  2. Looks really cool, Krisken. Maybe some banners would be cool?

    1. Thanks Indolatron! Some banners would be a nice addition and wouldn't be too hard to make if I use a print program for it. Great suggestion!

  3. amazing how quickly one falls behind when not paying attention. anyways, paint job looks great, gems, fins and panels i like, but that wraparound for the seating area still looks (and this is only MY opinion, and therefore counts for very little) bulky to me and not really part of the Eldar aesthetics. however, i will grant that when doing something cheap and on the fly, it won't always look like the stuff GW puts out.

Also i wouldn't glue the guardians in, i'd use magnets, that way if you decide to run a list without bikes, you can pop the guardians out and use them on foot.

On another note, did you ever get the links i sent to your email?

    1. Yeah, I've been on a tear lately! Kind of getting into these more than I thought I would.

The seat wraparound is a valid criticism and I take it as it's meant to be. I would have loved to be able to have a smaller cockpit area but that would have required completely changing the stance of the Guardians.

Good suggestion for using magnets instead of gluing them in! I don't know why I hadn't considered that (derp!).

I don't know what happened to the links. The error was probably on my end, and there is a very real possibility I just missed it. Lets try again if you don't mind. brian.j.paasch@gmail.com

    2. i saw and responded to your email. Thank you for the compliment.
Now, I'm sure you understand why I peruse the net looking for ideas that I can use in my army. After all, having hundreds of figures that all look exactly the same as one another gets boring, if i wanted that I'd play Necron. :)

    3. Yeah, Necron do appear a bit limiting regarding model diversity. Maybe at their next update they will get a boost?
